Children born to women who used the painkiller acetaminophen during pregnancy may have an increased risk of developing behavioral problems like attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), according to new research.
In a new study published in the journal JAMA Pediatrics, researchers analyzed data collected from 64,322 mothers and children enrolled in the Danish National Birth Cohort from 1996 to 2002. To me, it appears that this could be another heavy metals toxicity issue (specifically mercury).
In the process of detoxifying acetaminophen, all the available glutathione is depleted thus leaving the developing baby vulnerable to mercury poisoning. This mercury could be released from dental amalgams and/or from consuming fish.
I believe remembering a statistic that children administered acetaminophen immediately prior to vaccination had an astonishing fivefold increase in autism.
