There is a huge push to screen our children for mental disease; genetic disorders; Information and data collecting such as DNA sampling; Cord blood.  The American Association of Pediatricians is soon to come out with a standard of care that will have you as parents take a standard screening survey of your child’s behavior and with it the Pediatrician will have recommended medications to prescribe.

This article is about screening our kids for Cholesterol.  The Obama Healthcare bill funds School based health clinics which will not only survey our children’s vaccination status but give them mental heath screenings like Teen Screen insuring that parents get the proper advise in order to keep their kids in school.  Read more…

February 16, 2010 — The rate of chronic health conditions among children in the United States increased from 12.8% in 1994 to 26.6% in 2006, particularly for asthma, obesity, and behavior and learning problems, according to results of a new prospective study published in the February 17 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. No one knows why the animals refuse GMOs, but according to a 2009 statement by the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM), when lab animals do eat GM feed, it’s not pretty. “Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with GM food,” says the AAEM policy paper, which specifically cited infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, insulin regulation, and changes in major organs and the gastrointestinal system, among the impacts of eating GMOs.  There are eight GM food crops: soy, corn, cotton, canola, sugar beets, Hawaiian papaya, and a little bit of zucchini and yellow squash. The two primary reasons why plants are engineered are to allow them to either drink poison, or produce poison.  Read more…

Millions Are Prescribed Drugs They Don’t Need. When your doctor prescribes a drug it means you really need it, right? Wrong!
Between 16 and 30 per cent of all hospital admissions in the elderly are caused by inappropriate prescribing.  ‘Increasingly, geriatricians are seeing elderly patients on lots of different types of drugs they don’t need. HPV: Most sexually active men & women acquire HPV…it is self clearing

The Papilloma virus article covers the general biological features of human and animal papillomaviruses. A human papillomavirus (HPV) is a papillomavirus that infects the skin and mucous membranes of humans. Approximately 130 HPV types have been identified. Some HPV types cause warts (verrucae) or cancer, while others have no symptoms.  Genital HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection. Estimates suggest that most sexually active men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives. Most people who acquire genital wart-associated HPV types clear the infection rapidly without ever developing warts or any other symptoms.

One study found that, during 2003–2004, at any given time, 26.8% of women aged 14 to 59 were infected with at least one type of HPV. This was higher than previous estimates. 15.2% were infected with one or more of the high-risk types that can cause cancer. However only 3.4% were infected with one or more of the four types prevented by the Gardasil vaccine, which was lower than previous estimates.  Read more…
