Testing out the rotavirus vaccine on a group of 988 premature babies ranging between 27 weeks and 36 weeks, these infants were injected with up to 9 vaccine doses. They administered rotavirus vaccine (RIX4414, GlaxoSmithKline) in two doses to 658 preterm infants, and 330 received a placebo along with routine vaccinations, including diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type B and poliovirus. Infants from France and Spain also received Streptococcus pneumoniae concomitantly; infants from Portugal and Spain also received Neisseria meningitides. Read more..
And what was the outcome of the vaccine? Why was is tested on premature babies?
Shocking and heartrending clinical study.
Pharmaceutical companies normally steer their own protocols and carry out trials in a way which produces results which are in their favour. The FDA has responsibility for overseeing the trials, yet control is minimal. It is estimated that only one percent of all clinical trials were audited between 2000 and 2005.
This study is an unethical trial on tiny, vulnerable babies.
In addition, if the study was honest then the vaccinated group would have been compared to an unvaccinated group.
It is a deceptive tactic to use other vaccines as “control” as the vaccine may appear safer than it really is.
A true placebo is a harmless substance. Scientific method should be based upon removing all potentially confounding influences.
When a placebo is not used, the term placebo group is a blatant lie.
It is highly dubious whether such studies conform to valid research.
Manipulation of statistics is a known problem. There is no reason whatsoever to accept the figures in this study, especially as this is a clear case of the fox guarding the henhouse.
Regarding such trials on precious little babies – these trials are not clinical trials. They are cynical trials.
