Peer Reviewed Study: Why are Nurses becoming Anti-vaccinists?

Background: Background: In most countries rates of immunizations of health care workers with recommended vaccines
are not satisfactory. Objectives: To identify reasons behind the low rates of compliance of Israeli nurses in Mother and Child
Healthcare Centers (MCHC) with an official request for pertussis vaccination. Methods: Three focus groups were conducted. Qualitative analysis identified themes that could explain the nurses’ non-compliance. Results: Trust in health authorities was low, mainly following the A/H1N1 purported influenza pandemic. In addition, nurses did not see the importance of being role models for the public and demanded the autonomy to decide whether to receive vaccinations. The nurses differentiated between their role asnurses and their personal life, expressed fear of new vaccines and exhibited low levels of risk perception. Misconceptions regarding vaccinations were expressed by the nurses. Conclusions: Antivaccinationist ideas were expressed by MCHC nurses and these attitudes may have led to non-compliance with vaccination guidelines.  Read study…

It is good that nurses are, at long last, turning against vaccination: they see the ineffectiveness of vaccines to prevent any diseases and seriousness of reactions first hand, on the babies and themselves.

When you speak to others about your anti-vaccine beliefs, they look at you like you’re absolutely nutty. If their doctor says it’s a must, then they MUST. I have no problem with people vaccinating themselves or their children if that’s what they want. I just really believe there should be freedom of choice not only for ourselves but also our children without having to go to court or having our kids taken away. Unless or until the truth of the harmfulness of vaccines is exposed, it’s really more a political issue than a health issue.

what crap! So Nurses (who are mostly women) didn’t follow the militarys order to be poisoned so they are like terrorists now? Get real! They are educated professionials that did not drink the kool-aid so you are going to tar and feather them? SInce when has free will become anti-american and I resent the stereo-typing and slandering by a few of so many out of plain old spite. Whoever wrote this study is obviously biased for vaccines and prejudiced against anyone objects to be infected or poisoned. Their objections were valid and founded, as many countries had adverse reactions and thousands of people were permanently damaged and some even died from this vaccine.

America has the highest vaccination rate and the highest autism rate. Nurses know this! ANd this was an unproven and untested vaccine given carte blanche to kill people with no product liability for the ensuing damage and death caused by forced vaccination. That is crap and this study is too.
