BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION: FUNDING ALPHA GAL TICKS

VLA COMMMENT: STRATEGY: GATES: BY 2030 Everyone will be eating lab grown meat due to the epidemic of genetically engineered ticks.

In tandem to the Alpha Gal Tick pandemic, Bill Gates has invested in or publicly backed several cultivated (“lab-grown”) meat companies and related alternative-protein ventures. The best-known include:
UPSIDE Foods (formerly Memphis Meats) — one of the earliest and most publicized cultivated meat startups. Bill Gates participated in an early funding round alongside Richard Branson and others.
Mosa Meat — Dutch cultivated beef company known for creating the first lab-grown hamburger in 2013. Gates has been associated broadly with backing alternative proteins, though the original famous Mosa burger was funded by Sergey Brin.
Impossible Foods — not cultivated meat, but plant-based meat alternatives using soy/heme technology. Gates invested early and has publicly praised the company.
Beyond Meat — another major plant-based meat company Gates has spoken favorably about, though his investment involvement has been less central/public than with Impossible Foods.
