Breaking News: New York State – High Court verdict…Municipalities can ban FRACKING

Dryden_Slideshow_18On June 30, 2014, the Court of Appeals handed down a landmark decision, ruling that New York municipalities have the right to keep fracking out of their borders, a victory for Dryden and communities across the state. The town of Dryden had fought fracking. And, at long last, they had won.

“I thought the industry was so powerful and that there was nothing I could do,” said McRae. “Then I learned there was something I could do just by talking to my neighbors.” (in Dryden, New York)

“The town has a very strong case. Previous courts have ruled that localities retain their longstanding power to regulate land use, including by prohibiting industrial activities such as gas development in their communities. We’ll do everything we can to ensure this victory stands.”

After Dryden passed their ban more than 170 other towns in New York followed suit. The fate of those towns—and many more that hoped to pass bans—hung in the balance as the case advanced through the legal system.

As the Dryden case advanced, winning in two lower courts, other communities started to take action. In addition to the more than 170 towns in New York, communities in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Texas, Ohio and California have all taken action to protect their local communities from fracking.

Attorney Goldberg (Deborah Goldberg, EarthJustice.org,  argues before the Court of Appeals on June 3, 2014) argued that the New York State Legislature had not, in a 1981 law, granted the oil and gas industry the right to override long-held zoning powers of municipalities. “The idea that this industry would get the extreme and unprecedented right that no other industry has ever received in the state of New York simply because we want to promote the oil and gas industry” makes no sense, she said. “We’re not promoting it at all costs.”  Read more…

Russian GMO ban in full effect as of July 2014

Dmitry Medvedev attends meeting of deputies from Russian rural villagesThe earlier resolution banning GMO will come into full effect in July 2014. It is necessary to ban GMOs, to impose moratorium (on) it for 10 years. While GMOs will be prohibited, we can plan experiments, tests, or maybe even new methods of research could be developed. It has been proven that not only in Russia, but also in many other countries in the world, GMOs are dangerous. Methods of obtaining the GMOs are not perfect, therefore, at this stage, all GMOs are dangerous. Consumption and use of GMOs obtained in such way can lead to tumors, cancers and obesity among animals. Bio-technologies certainly should be developed, but GMOs should be stopped. We should stop it from spreading. ” – Irina Ermakova, VP of Russia’s National Association for Genetic Safety

VLA Comment:  I would wish that Russia would turn organic.  However, in my opinion, It is  Russia’s signal to those is the know, that it is a strategy to undermine the United State’s plan to get a big piece of the currency reset based on the “resource” of owning the world food supply.  The United States has changed domestic patent law to facilitate the expansion with the support of Congress and continually attempts to change international law. (the significance of Wikileaks leaking the Intellectual property section of the TTP).

Speech at the United Nations on Contrails and Geoengineering

VLA Comment: Another experiment that can destroy agriculture. Trees are dying all over California…not from drought but from its roots absorbing the aluminum being forced into the atmosphere. Definitely worth listening to. Stay ’til the end! Ms.Peterson talks about a firm putting iron in the atsmophere around the Galapagos Island so as to create algae bloom so that it can be sold as credit to corporation who want to pollute more. (Carbon credits, etc)

Invention: Tower pulls 25 gallons of water per day out of thin air

warka_water.jpg__800x600_q85_crop

So how would Warka Water’s low-tech design hold up in remote sub-Saharan villages? Internal field tests have shown that one Warka Water tower can supply more than 25 gallons of water throughout the course of a day, Vittori claims. He says because the most important factor in collecting condensation is the difference in temperature between nightfall and daybreak, the towers are proving successful even in the desert, where temperatures, in that time, can differ as much as 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

The structures, made from biodegradable materials, are easy to clean and can be erected without mechanical tools in less than a week. Plus, he says, “once locals have the necessary know-how, they will be able to teach other villages and communities to build the Warka.”

Monsanto Joins World Business Council for Sustainable Development

WBCSD-Vision-2050_Poster

Corporate giant Monsanto, known for its controversial business model, lobbying, and its widely criticized genetically modified organisms (GMOs), has officially joined the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, a group of powerful interests including major banks and Big Oil.  Some expressed alarm over the announcement, saying the global “sustainability” push is really a transparent plot to centralize power in the UN and enrich special interests at the expense of private property rights, national sovereignty, and individual liberty. (Agenda 21). Read more…

VLA comment:  In Fairfield, Iowa where we have thousands of people meditating; where the University grows its own organic food –  the only cafeteria in the US to do so, we have a 2 block long, 22 story GMO grain elevator being constructed at the edge of this sustainable town.  Fairfield is the home of Jeffrey Smith, the worlds leading anti GMO lecturer and activist. This granary will hook up to Warren Buffet’s BNSF railway and ship 20 million bushels of corn to the Asia Pacific rim through Mexico to Japan to China.  Iowa is slated in this new vision to become the center agribusiness industrial park for the global food supply (genetically engineered food, only). With this resource having strategically been developing over the years, the United States will enjoy, by and by, a big piece of the global currency supply which will be based on “resources”.  The USA will ostensibly own the World food supply—Iowa will supply hogs and feed to the world.  With this new vision the sustainable program of Agenda 21 will fit in nicely in the name of FOOD SECURITY.  Human resources will be marginalized in Iowa where Pigs on Ex Lax and frankenfeed will be shipped abroad. Where swaths of land will be set aside for Food Security Purposes and people (those who stay) will live in zoned cities.  A China company now owns the largest USA pork producer and Japan owns the 3rd largest grain/feed distributor.  But the interesting this is that behind this companies in the deep are American Wall Street Corporate players. China bought Smithfield Hogs in order to learn about consolidated pork production techniques which they will employ in China and build their own CAFO industry following Smithfield’s CAFO models.  However, American hog farmers will be surprised to find corn/feed prices at all time highs.  They will also be surprised when they find out that China wants the whole pig as they eat parts of the pigs we throw away.  With this many immigrants working at the meat processing factories will be out their jobs.  There goes the immigrant Mexican Hispanic workers who were driven to the United States because of the NAFTA trade deal.

Mexico recently banned the planting of GMO foods in Mexico yet this new vision, the Heartland Grain Co op under construction in Fairfield and Buffet’s BNSF railroad will export 20,000,000 bushels of corn to/through Mexico while the hispanic immigrants who came to USA under NAFTA agreements will be out of their jobs.  Once China gets their own consolidated pork producing going…lets watch the Hog market collapse post their expansion to serve China.

And when mother nature has had enough alien life forms planted in her womb, destroying her reproductive ecology, she will have her day too!  Any good woman would have abort under these circumstances.  I have prophesied an agricultural holocaust since the 1990s.  I think that 2025 will see it rear its head.

VLA comment:  Tom Vilsack, the former Governor of Iowa is just a figure head as Secretary of Agriculture (USDA).  The real person in charge has been working behind the scenes in government since Dr. David Kessler’s time (the tobacco debacle) is Jerold Mande, USDA’s Deputy Under Secretary for Food Safety.  His best buddy is the czar of the FDA, Monsanto’s Michael Taylor. No one hears much about Jerold.  Bottomline is Jerold Mande runs the USDA and Michael Taylor runs the FDA.  I called the USDA to find Jerold Mande.  I asked what his title was and they would not give me that information.  I said I think he is the deputy secretary and the telephone operator said she could not give me that information but If I give her my name she would have him call me.  I am amazed that our own government agency has such a defense about transparency that I can’t even get the job title of one of the agency’ heads. May be you would like to ask him about Food Safety…Give it a try. See what you can find out...202 720-3631

THE DRINKABLE BOOK: Revolutionizing water purification

www.WaterIsLife.com

Working with researchers at Carnegie Mellon and the University of Virginia, WaterisLife and DDB supported scalability work and design based on research conducted by Teri Dankovich for her Ph.D. at McGill University. Dankovich found a way to coat cardstock with silver nanoparticles that attract bacteria and toxins when water trickles by. Dankovich says her research indicates that the filters leave water more than 99.9 percent pure. Each page of the book can filter about 30 days’ worth of clean drinking water, and the whole book can last about four years.  READ MORE

Russia Will Not Import GMO Products Declares Prime Minister

Russia will not import GMO products, the country’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said, adding that the nation has enough space and resources to produce organic food.

Moscow has no reason to encourage the production of genetically modified products or import them into the country, Medvedev told a congress of deputies from rural settlements on Saturday.

“If the Americans like to eat GMO products, let them eat it then. We don’t need to do that; we have enough space and opportunities to produce organic food,” he said.  Read more…

Enviropig-Standardizing GMO Pig Breeds

Enviropig: Standardizing GMO Pig Breed

The Enviropig™ was developed using specific gene sequences from mouse and e coli DNA, which were further modified to work in a pig. In combination, the genetic code would trigger the production of a digestive enzyme (secreted into the saliva) not found in domesticated hogs.

The genetic material was inserted into a fertilized pig embryo via microinjection. In turn, the embryo was surgically implanted into the reproductive tract of a sow, and born about four months later. When mature, the genetically modified pig was crossed with a conventional pig, and about half of the offspring exhibited the new, stable, modified gene. The Enviropig is now in its eighth generation.  Read…

Michigan DNR destroys heritage hogs: Small-farm heritage hogs have now been declared an “invasive species” in Michigan.  This order allows the Michigan DNR to raid family farms with the
intent to seize and destroy their heritage hog livestock without
compensation.  Since swine raised in large confinement operations will be
exempt, this will effectively eliminate or reduce any competition.  The
Michigan Pork Producers Association is the co-sponsor of this state order.

It is also to be noted that the FDA approved the drug Ractopamine for poultry, beef & swine in 1999.  It converts feed into lean muscle.  It is banned in 160 countries.  And unfortunately if you eat Agri-business poultry, beef and swine, you are getting that which 160 countries have banned (for a good reason).  And most egregious the “natural Thyroid” most organic and natural foods consumer take if they have a hypothryroid problem like Hashimoto’s disease is source from pigs being fed Ractopamine.   Check it out here!
