GILLICK LAW…the court held that ‘parental rights’ did not exist, other than to safeguard the best interests of a minor. The majority held that in some circumstances a minor could consent to treatment, and that in these circumstances a parent had no power to veto treatment.

Madame Speaker, I have a copy of the Constitution here, and like most members of Congress, I carry it with me. I’ve read it through and through, but I don’t see anywhere in the US Constitution that it gives the government the power to control the type of light bulb used in Dime Box Texas or any other place in the United States.
