Ron Paul Congressional Speech on Wikileaks

1. Which has resulted in the greatest number of deaths: lying us into war, or WikiLeaks’ revelations or the release of the Pentagon Papers?

2. If Assange can be convicted of a crime for publishing information, that he did not steal, what does this say about the future of the First Amendment and the independence of the internet?

3. Could it be that the real reason for the near universal attacks on WikiLeaks is more about secretly maintaining a seriously flawed foreign policy of empire than it is about national security?

4. Is there not a huge difference between releasing secret information to help the enemy in the time of a declared war — which is treason — and the releasing of information to expose our government lies that promote secret wars, death, and corruption?

5.Was it not once considered patriotic to stand up to our government when it’s wrong?

This is one more proof of the US Empire’s Tyrant philosophy and politics of expansion, domination, treachery and terrorism promotion around the world. The puppet US government is the basis of the most outrageous conspiracy against the world peace, against world freedom, dignity and sovereignty. They think they can deceive the world but the truth always appears to be against them. You will never be able to enslave the world while brave people with pride exist anywhere.
