The estimates of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the U.S. have continued to rise significantly, according to the Center for Disease Control. As of March 2013, the CDC estimates that one in every 50 school children are diagnosed with ASD—a 1.16% increase from the estimates revealed in 20121. Other post-industrial counties are experiencing a similar trend of rising ASD incidence rates—the UK reported in 2012 an increase of 56% of children with autism in the last five years2. While ASD is increasing globally overall, however, many developing countries are reporting significantly lower rates. In China, for example, it is estimated that 1.1 in every 1,000 children are diagnosed with autism3. Similarly low rates among other developing countries are causing many to question what exactly is responsible for the difference in rates of ASD among developed and developing countries. Read more…

A groundbreaking new drug safety study published in the open access journal PLoS and titled, “Adverse Drug Reactions of Spontaneous Reports in Shanghai Pediatric Population,” has revealed for the first that that 42.5% of all reported adverse drug reactions occurring in 2009 in a Chinese pediatric population (Shanghai, pop of 17 mil) were caused by vaccines, with reactions as severe as anaphylaxis and death. VLA subscriber comment: Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Monsanto’s poster-child Round Up. And it’s glyphosate that becomes even more extremely toxic when it mixes with the heavy metals in hard water. Glyphosate, the researchers determined, is killing farm workers by the thousands.
In El Salvador, CKDu is the second leading cause of death among men. This is a disease that didn’t exist before the introduction of glyphosate. Men who spend their lives working the land in these poor countries are dying for Monsanto.
The researchers say that although glyphosate alone isn’t responsible for CKDu, it has “acquired the ability to destroy the renal tissues of thousands of farmers when it forms complexes with a localized geo environmental factor (water hardness) and nephrotoxic metals.”
New Zealand: A study from the 1990s has come to light, proving that compared to unvaccinated children, vaccinated children were more likely to suffer from asthma, eczema, ear infections, hyperactivity and many other chronic conditions. Furthermore, the study identified that there was a ten-fold increase in the incidence of tonsillitis in the children who were vaccinated, and a total lack tonsillectomy operations among the children who were unvaccinated.
Germany: In September 2011, German researchers carrying out a longitudinal study surveyed a total of 8000 un-vaccinated children from the ages of 0 –19.

Children born to women who used the painkiller acetaminophen during pregnancy may have an increased risk of developing behavioral problems like attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), according to new research.
In a new study published in the journal JAMA Pediatrics, researchers analyzed data collected from 64,322 mothers and children enrolled in the Danish National Birth Cohort from 1996 to 2002.
