Victory: US Appeals Court: Any county/town can ban growing GMO plants

gmo_sign_crops_735_350-735x350

Thanks to the Ninth Circuit US Court of Appeals and their recent interpretation of the Plant Protection Act, all U.S. states, counties, and local communities can actually ban (or regulate) the planting of any and all commercially-grown genetically engineered crops, no matter what the feds or Monsanto claims about GMO.

Neither the Plant Protection Act nor the DARK Act can stop states and counties from banning the planting of GMO crops.  READ MORE..

Glyphosate in our Soil (Round UP) Don Huber part #2

glyphosate

EXCERPT:  Don: Yes. As I have mentioned previously, this chemical gives the plant, and many of the supporting microorganisms, the equivalent of AIDS. It is a synthetic amino acid that can be incorporated as glycine in the proteins of microbes and plants. This aberrant amino acid can then create chaos. The Shikimate pathway is integral to life on the planet and it is seriously impacted. While it is true that mammals do not have a Shikimate pathway, we all house trillions of beneficial organisms that are dependent on this pathway.

Bayer Taking Over Monsanto

Bayer ‘closes in’ on $66bn deal to take over Monsanto

A deal by German drugs and chemicals giant Bayer to take over US seeds company Monsanto is imminent, media reports suggest. The takeover would follow several months of talks and is thought to value Monsanto at more than $66bn (£50bn). According to German media, Bayer has increased its offer to $129 per share while the Reuters news agency says the deal will be announced Wednesday. The takeover would create the world’s biggest seeds and pesticides company.

In 1925, Bayer became part of IG Farben, the world’s largest chemical company. Following the Nazi takeover of Germany, IG Farben was embroiled in the Nazi regime’s policies as a large government contractor. After World War II, Bayer was reestablished as an independent company, and quickly regained its position as one of the world’s largest chemical and pharmaceutical corporations.  Read History of Bayer One of the biggest DEPOPULATION companies in the world

Glyphosate’s Suppression of Cytochrome P450 Enzymes and Amino Acid Biosynthesis by the Gut Microbiome: Pathways to Modern Diseases†

Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup®, is the most popular herbicide used worldwide. The industry asserts it is minimally toxic to humans, but here we argue otherwise. Residues are found in the main foods of the Western diet, comprised primarily of sugar, corn, soy and wheat. Glyphosate’s inhibition of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes is an overlooked component of its toxicity to mammals. CYP enzymes play crucial roles in biology, one of which is to detoxify xenobiotics. Thus, glyphosate enhances the damaging effects of other food borne chemical residues and environmental toxins. Negative impact on the body is insidious and manifests slowly over time as inflammation damages cellular systems throughout the body. Here, we show how interference with CYP enzymes acts synergistically with disruption of the biosynthesis of aromatic amino acids by gut bacteria, as well as impairment in serum sulfate transport. Consequences are most of the diseases and conditions associated with a Western diet, which include gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, depression, autism, infertility, cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. We explain the documented effects of glyphosate and its ability to induce disease, and we show that glyphosate is the “textbook example” of exogenous semiotic entropy: the disruption of homeostasis by environmental toxins.

GMO bans expand in Russia/Putin halts all production and imports

Gmo-Sign-Crop-Farm

Russia has adopted a new law that prohibits all GMO crop cultivation and GMO animal breeding in the Russian Federation. Putin and Tkachev believe that the new law will aid Russia in becoming the world’s largest supplier of healthy, environmentally friendly and high-quality clean food – especially since the global demand for organic products is rising quickly.

Excerpt:

The vast majority of the corn and soybeans grown in the United States are now genetically engineered. Foods produced from GM crops have become ubiquitous. And unlike regulatory bodies in 64 other countries, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not require labeling of GM foods.

Two recent developments are dramatically changing the GMO landscape. First, there have been sharp increases in the amounts and numbers of chemical herbicides applied to GM crops, and still further increases — the largest in a generation — are scheduled to occur in the next few years. Second, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has classified glyphosate, the herbicide most widely used on GM crops, as a “probable human carcinogen”1 and classified a second herbicide, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), as a “possible human carcinogen.”2

TOXIC AGRICULTURE: WE STILL USE “ATRAZINE”, hormonal disruptor

May 6, 2016

Biologist, Tyrone Hayes is a soft-spoken professor at the University of California with a big message. One of the most commonly used pesticides in agriculture, atrazine, is responsible for feminizing amphibians, according to his research. More importantly, the chemical is effectively eliminating male chromosomes at an alarming rate, ate levels which are three times lower than what are currently appearing in our drinking water. It isn’t just lead and fluoride we need to be concerned about, but a known endocrine disruptor, created by Syngenta, that is utterly changing our gene pool. READ MORE…

Putin on Vaccines, pharmacueticals, and GMO food

Russia-western-vaccine-coverup-900x350

“When your children are barely human, psychologically-altered bots, their nerve cells and synapses failing to connect, and their neurodevelopmental processes dulled to the point of restricting them to sub-human level repetitive grunts and gormless stares, what are you going to do then?”

The report says that President Putin believes the next stage of human evolution is currently in “grave risk” and that Western and global powers are “intentionally decelerating the process for their personal gain.”

“We as a species have the choice to continue to develop our bodies and brains in a healthy upward trajectory, or we can follow the Western example of recent decades and intentionally poison our population with genetically altered food, pharmaceuticals, vaccinations, and fast food that should be classified as a dangerous, addictive drug.”

Describing the average government-controlled Westerner as an “intensively vaccinated borderline autistic fat man slumped in front of a screen battling a high-fructose corn syrup comedown,” the report states that such tactics used by governments to subjugate their citizens are not only “dark/evil” but “counter-productive in the medium to long term.”

“We must fight this. A physically and intellectually disabled population is not in our interests,” the report states. Read more…

Philippines: Permanent ban on GMO crop temporary halt to GMO imports

golden-rice-protest-672x372

The Supreme Court of the Philippines has ordered a permanent ban on field trials of GMO eggplant and a temporary halt on approving applications for the “contained use, import, commercialization and propagation” of GMO crops, including the import of GMO products.

The court ruled in favor of Greenpeace Southeast Asia, as well as several Filipino activists, academics and politicians, in a major victory for Filipino farmers and activists around the world.

AN HISTORIC RULING:  The court is also the first in the world to adopt the precautionary principle—which holds that it is best to err on the side of caution in the absence of scientific consensus—regarding GMO products in its decision.
